About Unequal Angles (UA)
Unequal Angles (UAs) have two legs of different lengths. They are used where the loading or connection requirements favour a non-symmetric section, such as in roof purlins on older buildings, lintels, and bracing. Available from 30x20 to 200x150.
This page shows section properties for all 44 standard UK unequal angles (ua) from the Tata Steel Blue Book (SCI P363). Properties include dimensions, cross-sectional area, second moment of area, elastic and plastic section modulus, radius of gyration, and torsional properties. All values are per BS 4-1:2005 / BS EN 10365.
