Portal Frame Material Calculator

This calculator helps you figure out exactly what materials and components you need to build a portal frame shed, including an estimated total cost.

Just enter your shed span, number of bays, eaves height, gable post count, and door details. The calculator will automatically generate a 3D visual of your shed, giving you the flexibility to customise your cladding, either full-length sheets or your own custom height.

You can choose whether you want doors on the front or rear gable, and exactly where they should go. Once you’ve set up your cladding preferences, scroll down to view a complete breakdown of the materials and component quantities required for your build.

There’s also a column where you can add your own material prices (and a buffer % for sheeting if you want to add a little extra). The calculator will total everything up – combining your custom material prices with our fixed component prices to give you a full cost estimate.

From there, you can:

• Download your results as a PDF or CSV
• Add components straight to your cart for next-day delivery (if ordered before 12pm)
• Request a CAD quote if you need drawings of your build
